Data can inspire you. It can show you something you didn’t think about before but you have to be careful when interpreting data that you don’t search for specific patterns while ignoring others. When looking at Data you always look at an abstraction that somebody did of information. The source is very important to know where data comes from.
There is a big responsibility on the person visualizing data in how and where this data is shown. Displaying how many people have been evaluated and in what context can change the interpretation of a data set. Data literacy is something important when you look at data from others. Data is never made in a vacuum so the context in which it is recorded matters.
We have to be careful what we type into Google search. We are very intimate with Google search because we don’t see a person on the other side of the screen. We tell it all our most private secrets. Everything you type in is saved and can be used as data.
